Forward-Deployed Engineering
We embed with your team, in your stack, on your hardest problems, and ship alongside you until it works in production. An extension of your team, not a hand-off.
An independent software studio building AI-driven, API-first and MCP-first products: live SaaS platforms, desktop apps, and embedded systems. We ship end to end, with security baked in from day one.
RETCON Software Solutions is an independent studio. We design and ship everything API-first and MCP-first, run local AI wherever it fits, and harden it with a cyber-aware foundation. When you need velocity, we deploy forward and work as an extension of your team. No throwaway demos. Just systems that scale and survive.

End-to-end web products on Next.js and FastAPI: auth, billing, metering, all of it. From idea to a deployed, paying SaaS.
Agents, RAG and GraphRAG, and Model Context Protocol servers that give AI first-class, governed access to your data and tools.
Native-feeling desktop apps with Tauri: small, fast, secure, and shipped to every platform from one codebase.
Firmware and real-time systems in C, C++, and Rust. Defensive code at the hardware edge that still hits its timing.
Vercel, Docker, CI/CD, and self-hosted infrastructure that deploys itself and stays up. Pragmatic, observable, reproducible.
A cyber-aware foundation means threat modeling and hardening are built in from the start, not bolted on at the end.
A live product-intelligence SaaS that scores e-commerce products by market saturation, velocity, and trend phase. It ships as a key-authenticated REST API, an MCP server for AI agents, and a Next.js and Supabase web app with usage metering and Stripe billing, all running on Vercel.

From the metal to the model. Fluent across the whole stack, reaching for the right tool instead of the trendy one.
A cross-section of what we've shipped, from a live SaaS to satellite-denied robotics. Every one built end to end.
Our flagship product. A live product-intelligence SaaS that scores e-commerce products by saturation, velocity, and trend phase. Built API-first and MCP-first on Next.js and Supabase, with usage metering and Stripe billing, running on Vercel.
A private note-taking tool. Whisper handles meeting transcription and locally-run LLMs do the summarization, so it all stays on your own hardware. A self-hosted answer to Notion AI and Fireflies.
An open-source explorer and visualizer for Neo4j knowledge graphs. Browse nodes and relationships, run live Cypher, and watch the whole graph render and update in the browser. Fully Dockerized and self-hostable.
A real-time embedded nav system from a Sandia National Laboratories-sponsored senior capstone. Converted a MATLAB/Simulink prototype to C++ and ROS 2 on a Raspberry Pi 4 inside a 15 W power budget, with an Extended Kalman Filter fusing GNSS/INS, LIDAR, and wheel-encoder data to hold sub-15 cm accuracy with no satellite signal. Led a 6-person team to 100% requirement-to-test coverage.
A 3D-printed, small-form-factor take on the Rock Band and Guitar Hero controllers for Clone Hero. Contributed a custom PCB with an integrated Raspberry Pi Pico, built from easy-to-source parts.

I build AI-driven web and desktop products end to end, with security treated as a habit rather than an afterthought. Before going independent I wrote embedded firmware for tactical communication radios at Canyon AeroConnect in ANSI C, Python, and Assembly, and ran enterprise IT and security there. That range, from low-level firmware to full-stack platforms, is what I lean on when a project needs both.
